André Ricard

The father of industrial design in Spain, his designs have improved the quality of many everyday products. He has greatly influenced the institutional and professional development of the discipline and has been recognised with many Spanish and international awards.

Jorge Pensi

Pensi set up his studio over 20 years ago and during that time it has become highly recognised internationally for its contemporary designs. Both the studio and Pensi himself have received several prizes and awards, and some of its first products, such as the Toledo Chair, have become design icons.

Rafael Marquina

One of the founders of ADI-FAD, he taught extensively. His anti-drip oil bottle has become a product design classic.

He has been named one of the foremost creators of our times by several prestigious publications; Time Magazine, Wallpaper, Elle Decoration; and recently Best Interior Designer by Fuera de Serie. His work is varied, highly acclaimed and internationally recognised.

Héctor Serrano

Serrano studied Industrial design in Valenica and Product design at The Royal College of Art in London, where he set up his practice. He has received numerous awards for his work and is exhibited worldwide.

FAD : Fomento de las Artes y del Diseño

Founded in 1903!! The FAD is the foremost design organisation in Spain. An NGO, it acts as a bridge between students and professionals, works with businesses and society, holds an annual design showcase in Barcelona and manages the most important design awards in the country.

RED : Reunión Empresas de Diseño Español

The Association of Spanish Design Companies is a professional platform which offers membership to companies based on certain criteria. It uses it's expertise in marketing and communications to help it's members make contacts, reach new markets and promote Spanish design in general, and it runs the travelling Rojo design show.
